Jose Alberto Hernandez Jr., aka Macho/ Cholo age 28 of Beacon Falls, passed away due to a short term illness in his home that he shared with his wife, his high school sweetheart of 13 years, Casey Harrigan, and his beloved dogs, Prince and Harley.
Born in Bridgeport, he was a loving son to Jose Alberto Hernandez Sr. and Judith Viselli-Hernandez, a lifelong resident of Beacon Falls. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He had a true passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles and loved riding his Harley with his dad, brother, and friends, along with attending bike shows, many of which he received prizes and awards for his motorcycle. He enjoyed going to Yankee games with his brother, snowboarding, dirt biking, and going to theme parks with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Casey Harrigan, parents Judith Viselli Hernandez and Jose Hernandez Sr., brother Anthony, uncles Mike & Carolyn Viselli of Bridgeport, and Carlos Hernandez of Beacon Falls, and several cousins. He is predeceased by grandparents Mike and Stella Viselli and paternal grandfather, Jose Ocasio Hernandez (Pepe), and aunts Maryellen Warner and Joanne Viselli -Wheeler.
He was a loving husband, son, and brother. Jose was a beautiful soul who would do anything to help a friend. He will be truly missed and forever in our hearts and minds.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 17th from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St., Stratford, CT 06615. Burial with full military honors will be held on Thursday, September 21st at 9:45 am at the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT 06457. Please meet directly at the cemetery.
