"Buddah" Jonathan Michael Thomas Johnson
March 21 – November 20, 2015
One day shy of his eighth month birthday, Jonathan Johnson passed away at the Hartford Children's Hospital in Hartford, CT. During his short life Buddah touched many lives and was loved by all who met him.
Born ten weeks early and weighing only 1 lb., 7.6 oz., Buddah was our little champion. His path to life was a pure miracle, and he faced many challenges. He had a very strong personality and a beautiful smile. He loved to play and watch TV. He endured so much in such a short while, and smiled through adversity. Buddah was born on March 21 at 9:58 a.m. and died on November 20 at 5:40 p.m.
Jonathan joins his grandmother, Patricia Johnson; grandfather John Simpson; and his great-grandparents Harrison and Mattie Johnson in heaven. He is survived by his mother and father, Michael and Tanya Johnson; his grandparents Vernon and Yuriko Vaughn; great grandparents Emiko Nagasako, Arnester and Gloria Winans as well as number of Uncles, Aunties, and cousins.
Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 4 to 8 pm at the Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford. Jonathan will be interred near family at St. Michael's Cemetery in Stratford. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of the Yale NICU for all of their support in the care of our son. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorial contributions in memory of Buddah, be mailed to 175 Lambert Ave, Meriden, CT, 06451 or made to the Yale New Haven NICU.
