John T. Wood, age 80, of Crystal River, FL passed away April 3, 2020 at Cypress Cove Care Center in Crystal River, FL. John was born on March 26, 1940 in Bridgeport, CT to Jack and Julie (Higgins) Wood. He moved to Crystal River 10 years ago from Stratford, CT. John was a retired Banker.

Survived by his wife, Dorothy L Fitzgerald; Step children, April Marsette, Heather and her husband Christopher McCluskey; four grandchildren, Derek and his wife Emily Marsette, Kyle Marsette, Erin and Aidan McCluskey; three cousins Susan Wood-Hempstead and her husband Norman, Linda Wood Parker and her husband Fred, Janelle Wood Schaffer and her husband Alan.

Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 3:00 to 5:00pm at the Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St., Stratford. Due to the pandemic and State Laws,  masks  and social distancing will be required to attend. A funeral service will be held at 4:30pm officiated by Deacon Joe Koletar.
