John Raymond Morgan, age 47 of Stratford entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 27, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on February 15, 1966, he was the beloved son of Thomas J. Morgan Sr. and Karyn Morgan and the late Suzanne Davis and Joseph Davis. John enjoyed life to the fullest. As a young man he was an accomplished surfer in Boca Raton , FL who loved the sun on his face and the waves as he rode them. As an adult, John was a well known and well respected leader of the many activities sponsored by the Bpt. Mental Health Center . John loved music and attended many concerts of different musical genres. During the winter months he was glued to the television watching his favorite basketball teams. In the springtime, he loved going to the Yankee games with his dad. Almost every Sunday John could be found having dinner with his family. In addition to his parents, John is survived by his siblings, Irish twin, Thomas J. Morgan, Colleen Morgan, Thomas M. Morgan, Sarah Roman and her husband Bill, Rebecca Carruthers, Timothy Davis , Tracey Davis, and Jamie Davis and his wife Tammy. He is also survived by his aunt and godmother Caryl, uncle and godfather Bob Besescheck and Aunt Sharon and Uncle Bob Graze. John will be missed by his nieces and nephew; Kaitlyn, Madison, Kaila, Michael, Timmy, Deanna, Jonathan, Samantha, Joey Jr., Ralph and Jessica, also survived by his special grandparents, Jean and Frederick Chapman, and his very extended family, he will be missed by his best friend, Danny Merlo. He was predeceased by his beloved grandma Caryl G. Morgan. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude for the exceptional care provided by the Bridgeport Hospital MICU and SICU staff. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Church,497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford, with Monsignor Ryan officiating. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
