John (Jack) Joseph Markoya, age 77 of Stratford, passed away on October 15, 2025 at Bridgeport Hospital after an extended illness. He was the beloved husband of Carmen (Bonada) Markoya.

Born on March 4, 1948 in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late John J. and Elenor T. Agasi Markoya. An avid sportsman, Jack excelled in high school basketball and baseball, later embracing his love for softball in adulthood. His enthusiasm for competition extended to billiards and bowling, where he formed lasting friendships and created joyful memories.

Jack is survived by his wife Carmen, his son Michael and his brother, Randall. He also leaves behind extended family and friends who will miss him tremendously.
