John J. Avellino Jr. , age 69 widower of Ruth Vichiola Avellino passed away on Monday August 26, 2013 at the West Haven Veterans Hospital. Born in Bridgeport he was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a retired truck driver. Survivors include a daughter, Margie Comeau and two grandchildren, Amylynn Thompson and Carylynn Parella, two brothers, Paul Avellino and Richard Avellino, a sister, Rachel Santiago. He was predeceased by a sister, Diane Avellino and brother Mario Avellino. Private services will be held.
