Joan Rotondi, age 86 of Stratford previously of Flagger Beach, FL passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Lord Chamberlain Health Care. She was the widow of Daniel Rotondi who passed away in 2009. Born in New York, New York on January 22, 1931 she was the only daughter of Salvatore and Antoinette DeMezza Marchese. Joan was a district manager of distribution for the CT Post for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed walking, playing tennis and was a fantastic cook. She is survived by her four loving children and their spouses; Mark (Robin) Rotondi of Madison, Stephen (Nancy) Rotondi of Monroe, Robin (Jonathan) Stephens of Guilford and Susan (Joseph) Evangelista of Stratford. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10:00 at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Russell Augustine officiating. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford.
