1924-2018 daughter of Ethel and Alexander S Domonkos
Joan passed on Tues. April 3, 2018 at Lord Chamberlain Nursing Home where she had resided for 3 years. Peacefully and suorrounded by her loving family. She was a lifelong Stratford resident leading the Memorial Day Parade as drum majorette of Wilcoxsin School. Attending Stratford High School she was a member of "The Masques" Drama club preforming in many plays. Some in lead roles. Her friends: The"TNT" girls jacket club who all met for lunch throughout their years. Joan was crowned Queen of The May with her court of 12 other students. She graduated in 1941.High School was one of her fondest memories. She then attended Weylister Secretarial School in Milford. A one year course finished in 1942. On to join the work force at Southern New England telephone co, Pre deceased by her husband Everett in 1967 Joan went on to sell World Book encyclopedia part time. She happily devoted herself to her family and all their adventures. Joan was president of St, Marks Ladies Guild in the early history of the church. She was a religious school teacher at St. Marks after school program. Worked at Abby Book Store in the Dock Shopping Center for many years. She loved nature, gardening, Cape Cod vacations at Ellis Landing with family, sewing, reading, scrabble, long drives most recently in the convertible "top Down" with a cup of Dunkin coffee and a doughnut sitting at Lordship Sea Wall.in the sun. With Joan the glass was always ½ full. She led a happy life with family always with her. We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Lord Chamberlain for all of their help and care, also Ct. State Hospice at LC.they are all angels

Mary Delaney Begin, husband Robert Begin, Son Joshua Begin wife Kate. children Jessie and Vienne Begin Alex Begin wife Dana Begin; children Gillian Elsa and Alicia Marcia Delaney Wiltsie husband James Wiltsie. Daughter Kate McNeil her husband Evan Beller Carol Delaney Forman, Son Jeremy Forman fiancee Natali ,sons Kyle and Joshua .Daughter Alexis, and her husband Michael Nasti James Delaney wife Kelly Delaney Sons Austin and Mitchel Delaney and daughter Shayna Delaney. Paula Delaney Tkas Soli husband Victor Soli their daughter Melissa Tkacs Soli Neice Jane Domonkos and husband Jack Mattern Sister in law Kay Delaney nephew Patrick Delaney and his family

A Funeral service will be held on Monday April 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St Mark's Church, 500 Wigwam Ln. Stratford CT. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
