Joan Marie Bromley, of Bridgeport, transitioned on May 6, 2023. Joan's parents, Arthur and Marie Bromley, of Bridgeport, predeceased her. Joan was born in Bridgeport on May 7, 1948, remaining in the city where her parents lived their entire lives, and that she loved.

Joan graduated from Bridgeport's Central High School, and during her career, worked as a legal secretary. She enjoyed travel, shopping, and most especially, enjoying her mystery novels at a swift pace.

Joan spent the last year at Jewish Senior Services, where she quickly made friends who will miss her. Joan is survived by her closest lifelong friend, June Mastronardi of Fairfield, and her beloved Cockatiel, "Baby," who at 22 years old, now lives with June.

A graveside service will take place at Park Cemetery, 620 Lindley Street, on Wednesday, May 10, at 11AM. Pastor Harv Weitzel, of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Fairfield, will officiate.
