Jennifer "Jen" Marie Northrop (formerly Gregerik), 52, of Stratford, entered eternal rest peacefully in New Haven, Connecticut, on May 21, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jen was born on May 26, 1973, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, to Robin (Janes) Gregerik and Joseph Gregerik. She graduated from Bristol High School in 1991.

Jen will be remembered for her strength, compassion, sense of humor, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her warmth, resilience, and caring spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted partner of ten years, James Shokite; her beloved daughter, Erica Folton; and her son, Zachary Northrop. She also leaves behind her maternal grandmother, Joyce Owens; her brother, Patrick Dicker; her aunts, Kathy Janes and Cheryl Powers; her uncles, Jimmy Carone, Bobby, and Michael Fagan; her cousins, TJ and Josh Gregerik, and Zachary Campbell; as well as her cherished dogs, Tuco, Ivey, and Buddy.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home in Stratford. At 6:00 PM, James will share words of remembrance, and attendees will also be invited to share memories and reflections in honor of Jen's life.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the ASPCA organization in Jen's name.
