Jeffrey Ivan Markoya, age 60 of Trumbull passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, November 7, 2015. Born in Bridgeport on August 17, 1955, he was the son of the late John J. Markoya, Sr. and Eleanor Agrassi Markoya. John had retired from the Town of Fairfield and was previously a quality control inspector at Perkin Elmer and Bodine Industries. Jeffrey loved cars especially Nascar and Indy car racing as well as antique car shows. As a teenager he enjoyed working on car engines and repair autos for all his family and friends. He was an all around handyman, but most of all he was a loving father, brother and best friend to many. Survivors include his beloved daughter, Amanda Markoya of Brooklyn, NY, 2 devoted brothers, Jack Markoya, Jr. and his wife Carmen of Stratford and Randall Markoya and his companion, Debi Ostrofsky of Fairfield and a nephew, Michael Mrkoya. Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. in the Reed Memorial Chapel at Mt. Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Ave, Bridgeport with Rev. Bruce Roby, officiating. Friends may greet the family from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Reed Chapel prior to services.
