Jean Gramigna Schod, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, a longtime resident of Monroe, CT, passed away to be with the Lord on December 29, 2024 at the age of 90. Jean's love for her family, warm personality and her ability to make everyone she met feel special, will be missed by all.

Besides her family and friends, Jean loved her home in Monroe and sitting on her screened porch. She never met a Milky Way that she couldn't pass up and to complete her perfect day she loved to scratch off lottery tickets!  Jean's strong faith was an integral part of her life, with her rosary beads always nearby giving her strength and comfort.

Jean was born in Bridgeport, CT on May 29, 1934 and was the youngest child of the late John and Jenny Gramigna, always surrounded by a large loving family.  In her younger years she worked in a variety of local business offices, always bringing her friendly attitude and helpfulness to whomever she met. Customers left feeling cared for and grateful.

Jean was predeceased by her siblings John Gramigna, Lenny Gramigna, Daniel Gramigna, Emma Gramigna, Marie Ferruci and Ethel Makrai; and is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Ronald Schod. She was blessed with and is also survived by two, loving sons, John Schod (Dana) of Trumbull, CT, and Kenneth Schod (Katie Perimenis) of Stamford, CT; cherished grandchildren Chris Schod (Andrea), Jay Schod (Maia), Eric Schod (Meghan Bentley), Bryan and Cassidy Schod, and great grandchildren Lily, Jimmy, and Ellie Schod.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, January 3, 2024 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola and Keleman Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford, CT 06615. A prayer service will take place at 11:00 a.m. immediately followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull, CT.
