Jean Crozier Kolesar Mitchell, born in Bridgeport CT, passed on to heaven October 27, 2018 surrounded by her family at The Bishop Wicke Health Care Center, which she had made her home for most of the year.
She was 87 years old. With great pleasure, she spent the last 38 years living on Stone Ridge Road in Bridgeport. Raised in Stratford on Huntington Road, she raised her own family in Stratford on Thompson Street. Jean's life in Stratford was a traditional family one, a homemaker, raising four daughters while working part time at various restaurants in the area including Tory Brook Inn in Milford, Robert's Magic Kitchen in Stratford and G. Fox / Jordan Marsh Restaurant at the Trumbull Mall. She loved family get togethers for all the holidays and birthdays. She loved her many bus trips to Atlantic City, and like many from CT, moved onto Foxwoods when they opened, going to numerous concerts. She enjoyed watching all the TV shows that featured singing and dancing, like American Idol and The Voice, purchasing many of their CD's. Hollywood gossip was another passion, following celebrities on various talk shows and through the STAR and The National Enquirer Magazines. In her retirement, she enjoyed and was very involved with her youngest granddaughter, Emilie living just two doors down.
She led a peaceful life, loved by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, spouses and God. Jean was predeceased by her ex-husband, Charles Kolesar, husband Wesley Mitchell, daughter Lori Driver, brother Robert Crozier, and her parents, Robert and Edna Crozier. Survivors include daughters Pamela Iannucci, Sharon Grom (Karl), Linda Kolesar, grandchildren Benjamin Iannucci, Sabrina Iannucci (Amado Negron), Derrick Driver (Rebecca), Karl (Eileen Roney) and Joseph Grom (Venessa Thornberry), great-grandchildren Zoe, Riley and Emory Driver, Sera and Tracey Negron, Benjamin and Natalia Iannucci, Kaleigh and Arianna Grom and several nieces and nephews. Her family would like to thank the wonderful people at Bishop Wicke for their compassion and dedication to her care.
