Janet M. Labonda, age 86 of Huntington passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of 65 years to Harold Paul Labonda. Born in Milford, CT on August 1, 1930 she was a daughter of the late Albert and Mae Herman Shackleton. Mrs. Labonda was raised in Milford and was a graduate of Milford High School class of 1948. She was retired credit analyst for Philips Medical Systems. In addition her loving husband Harold she is survived by her three caring daughters and their husbands; Karen (Mark) Geriak of Shelton, Joan (Robert) Fair of West Palm Beach, FL and Elaine (George) Sherman of Shelton and proud grandmother to her six grandsons; Chris, Michael, Tommy, Jimmy, Andy and Joey. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Shackleton and his wife Karen and her sister, Elaine Poulson and her husband Carl. Funeral services will take place on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 11:00 am at the First Congregational Church of Stratford with Rev. Ed Rawls and Rev. Thomas Furrer officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph of Stratford Cemetery.
