Janet Rae Boag was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and was raised in Stratford by her loving parents Blanche Hardy Hallquist and Siegfried Hallquist. She graduated from Stratford High School and graduated from Booth and Baylis Business School. She is survived by her loving husband, Walter Ray Boag and her daughter, Pamela Boag and her son Damon, Janet's son Cliff and his wife Kelly and their son's Casey, Kyley and Colton. Her sister Lee Spindler predeceased Janet. She is also survived by her brother in law, Don Spindler and Janet's nieces and nephews and their spouses; Claudia and David Pheonix, Marc and Geri Swanson, Eric and Marjorie Swanson, David and Kathy Swanson. Janet and Ray were married in 1953. They moved to Florida for two years in 1956. She delivered a baby boy, Christian that did not survive his birth. They returned to Connecticut to raise their two children. Janet enjoyed a close loving relationship with her mother. When their children got older she went into real estate in Fairfield County and enjoyed helping people fine a nice place to live – that lasted 34 years. They moved to Easton in 1990 and loved the rural ambiance. Janet loved animals (especially her dog Courage) and always had pet food with her in case she saw an animal in need. Janet had a strong faith in God and had a blessed life. Friends and relatives are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday November 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Christ Episcopal Church, 2000 Main St. Stratford. Burial will follow in Aspetuck Cemetery Easton. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday November 26, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford.
