Janet Ellen Bernstein, age 69, widow of Mark Allen Bernstein of Naugatuck passed away on October 19, 2013 at Masonicare, Wallingford. Born in Bridgeport she was the daughter of the late Leeman and Ethel Edwards Curtis and retired from Remington Products after 21 years of service. She is survived by a son, Russell Neeley and his wife Tricia of Milford, two daughters, Sandra Bernstein and husband Francis of Milford and Lisa Acevedo and husband Wilman of Naugatuck, two sisters, Marilyn Donofrio and Susan Duprey, eight grandchildren, Heather Bernstein, Lindsay Barrett, Kellan, Haleigh and Cameron Neely, Brayden Acevedo, Elijah and Keyraah Myers, a great grandson, Anthony and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Barbara Curtis. Friends are invited to attend memorial services on Saturday November 2, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Christ Episcopal Church, Stratford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Smilow Cancer Center or the Masonicare Hospice.
