Jane Bergen Cole, age 95 of Newtown formally of Ridgewood, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at her home at Lockwood Lodge. Born in Brooklyn, NY on December 6, 1917 she was a daughter of the late Theodore P. Cole and Emma L. Gordon Cole. During WWII she was a volunteer for the USO and was a retired administrative assistant for the Fish-Richardson & Neaves Patent Law Firm in New York. She was also a 70 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ridgewood Chapter. She is survived by her nieces and nephew; Barbara Cole Piccirillo of Shelton, CT, Virginia Metters of Cohassett, MA and Robert G. Cole of Milford, CT. She was predeceased by her brothers and sister; Theodore P. Cole, Robert G. Cole and Ruth E. Cole. Graveside services for Jane took place on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a service in her memory on July, 17, 2013 at 10:30am at the Lockwood Lodge Chapel of Masonic Care in Newtown, CT.
