James G. Mazzey Sr., age 80, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Bridgeport Hospital on Thursday, December 2, 2021.

Jim was born in Bridgeport on January 26, 1941 he was a son of the late Joseph Sr. and Sophie Klisenbauer Mazzey. He worked as a mechanic for the Post Office, enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with friends at the Baldwin Center playing poker.

Jim is survived by his children James Mazzey Jr. and Susan Mazzey Taylor, his daughter-in-law Diane Mazzey, his brother Ronald Mazzey and sister-in-law Karla Mazzey. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Joseph Mazzey Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Jim on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street Stratford CT 06615. Friends may greet the family at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
