James Mark Lombard, age 74, of Derby, passed away peacefully at his home on July 18, 2023. Born in Bridgeport, CT on April 22, 1949, he was a son of Dennis F. Lombard Sr. and Jane Morris Lombard. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 38-years, Barbara Bergen Lombard.

Jimmie was a graduate of Bassick High School and was an educator for the City of New Haven.  He was a proud veteran of the US Navy and remained active in local veteran's organizations and the American Legion.

In addition to his wife, Jimmie is survived by his brother, Dennis F. Lombard Jr. and his wife Dunfrey Lombard of West End, NC; sister-in-law Linda Sautter of Oxford, CT and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) St. James Church, Stratford, followed by interment at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
