Obituary

James 'Jimmy' Kelley passed away on November 27, 2025, in Stratford, CT.  Born in Bridgeport on April 30, 1978, he attended Central High School playing football and baseball.  Jimmy loved sports especially Green Bay Packers and Boston Red Sox which reflected his late Uncle Jimmy Dobbs teams. After graduating Central, he played quarterback for the semi-professional Bridgeport Knights football team. As an adult, he played softball and coached football.  His pastime is enjoying pizza and soda.

Jim lived life with passion and a big personality, touching the lives of many people along the way.

Jimmy is survived by his partner Nichelle of 19 years, his daughters Isabella and Kayla, his cherished granddaughter Eliza, and his siblings Christine (Jeff), Jaimey, Daryl (Tara) and Adrienne (Rasheed), his 8 nieces and nephews and their children.  His surviving relatives include Aunt Annette, Aunt Kathy (Al), Uncle Richie (Didi), and Aunt Sue, and numerous cousins, friends and teammates.

He is predeceased by his mother Maureen Kelley (Dobbs), step-father Daryl Bell, sister Colleen, Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Patty (Richard), and Uncle Joe.

Anyone wishing to pay their respects may attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at St. Mark's Church, 500 Wigwam Ln in Stratford, CT. All other services will be held privately and at the convenience of Jim's family.
