Jakov Mladina, 78, of Bridgeport, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Bridgeport Hospital. He was born on July 24, 1947, in Strmendolac, Croatia.

Affectionately known as "Jack" or "Jackie boy," Jack was a hardworking man who found joy in simple pleasures—riding his motorcycle, making wine, and caring for his garden.

He is survived by his daughters, Suzana and her husband Mark of Arlington, VA and Donna of Bridgeport, CT as well as his sisters Iva and Mila and their families in Croatia.  Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife of 29 years, Luca (Žižić-Gušo) Mladina, in 2000; his parents, Mate and Mara; and his brother, Nediljko.

Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford CT 06615. A Funeral Service will take place directly at the funeral home at 12:00 (noon) immediately following the calling hours.
