Helena (Helen) May Mahoney Pudims, age 94 was born in Norwalk, CT on May 25, 1920 and died at West River Health Care Center , Milford on March 31, 2015. Helen was the daughter of the late Philip and Matilda Mahoney. She was predeceased by her husband Albert Pudims Sr. and by sons, Alan, Arthur and John and sisters, Loretta Gorman and Myrtle Vallerie, by brothers Philip, Leo and Robert and by grandson Alan. Helen was the loving mother of 2 daughters and 4 sons. Survivors include daughters Alice Daror and husband Edward of Pheonix, AZ, Andrea Aldino and husband Robert of Shelton, son, Chipper (Albert Jr.) of Stratford. 6 grandchildren, Kimberly, Tina, Jessica, Keith, Morgan and Arthur and a very proud great grandmother of 12. Helen is also survived by sisters Mary Morgan, Josephine Lawrie and Jacqueline Hawkins and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Also survived by her cousin and life-long friend Doris Bounomo. In addition to single-handedly raising 5 children, Helen started her professional career in 1959 as a secretary at Bassick Company, became an office supervisor at Pitney Bowes and retired as the Professional Assistant to the General manager of Goodwill of Bridgeport. She enjoyed her retirement years in Milford surrounded by her family. Friends and relatives are invited to attend funeral services on Monday April 6, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in The Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford with Father Bruce Roby, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to services.
