Germaine H. Kisiel, age 91 of Oneonta, NY widow of Chester (Chuck) T. Kisiel passed away peacefully on August 2, 2015 at Fox Hospital in Oneonta, NY. Born in Grimde-Tienen, Belgium, she was the daughter of the late Alphonso and Victorina Ladang. Germaine was employed by Bridgeport Metal Goods for 40 years and worked in the lunchroom at Park City Magnet School in Bridgeport, retiring after 13 years of faithful service. She loved crossword puzzles and was a big contributor the ASPCA She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She will be sadly missed by her family who survive her; a devoted daughter, Gloria A. Totora and her husband Ronald J. Totora of Oneonta, NY, a brother Emile Ladang of Belgium, 4 loving grandchildren, Shila L. Kisiel, Lisa L. Kisiel, Melissa M. Jacko and Stefanie L. Totora, great grandson, Anthony M. Jacko, lifelong friend Mary Davis and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Richard (Dickie) James Kisiel and her brothers, Louis and Phillip Ladang. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday August 10, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church with Rev. Bruce Roby, celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held in the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. prior to the church service.
