Geraldine G. Stone, age 101, of Stratford passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Bridges by Epoch in Trumbull. She was predeceased by her husband Harry.
Born in Bridgeport on September 11, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Katherine DiFelice Garofano. Geri was a graduate of Central High School. After raising her family she began a long career as a Realtor. The pinnacle of her real estate career was being named President of the Bridgeport Board of Realtors. In addition, she was honored with the Realtor of the Year award. Geri was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling. Mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Geraldine is survived by her daughter Pamela Cranston and her husband Edward and son Jeffery Stone and his wife Deborah. She was the proud grandmother of Peter Cranston and his wife Gina, Kelsey Cranston, Serena Stone and her spouse Karyn, Sean Stone and Sophia Stone. In addition, she was the loving great-grandmother to MacKenzie and Harper Cranston. She is also survived by her sister Marietta Jones and several nieces and nephews. Geri is predeceased by her siblings Theresa, Elsie, Pat, Ralph, Albert, Joseph and Virginia.
The family would especially like to thank Eunice Hobbs who lovingly cared for Geri for several years. We will never forget the patience and loving attention she provided.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street Stratford CT 06615. Friends may greet the family from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fairfield.
