• Gerald Arthur Drew, age 85 of Shelton passed away peacefully on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Bishop Wicke Health Care. He was the beloved husband of Ullie L. Stuart Drew. Born in Fairfield on January 20, 1931 he was a son of the late George and Ella Drew. Gerald worked for the Fairfield Board of Education for many years until his retirement. He proudly served his country as a Marine during the Korean Conflict and was member of the American Legion. Gerald was also very active at the Golden Hill United Methodist Church where he was a Bible class teacher. In addition to his devoted wife Ullie he is survived by his son; Robert Gilmore and his wife Susanne of Shelton and their children; Benjamin and Evan Gilmore. He is also survived by his siblings; Geraldine DeLibero of Shelton, George Drew III and his wife Ruth of New Milford and Paula A. Drew of Stratford and brother and sister in-law; Leroy and Peggy Ferris and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Linda Drew and sisters Janet Drew Belletsky and Eleanor Drew Reynolds. Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 10:30 am at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford. Interment with full Military Honors will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may greet the family on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
