George G. Laufer, age 87, of Stratford passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday January 13, 2015. He was the son of the late Oscar and Emma Laufer and was retired from Schick Razor after many years of service. He was a WWII Army veteran and enjoyed gardening and traveling. Survivors include his beloved companion of 47 years, Evelyn Nemes of Fairfield, 1 niece and 1 nephew. He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Laufer and sister Clara Gost. Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday January 16, 2015 at 12:00 noon in the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford with Rev. Meg Williams, officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to services.
