George DeLibro, Jr. 68, formerly of Bridgeport, CT called home by his Blessed Father in heaven on November 8, 2015 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Son to George and Mary DeLibro he graduated from Central High School and became a successful hair dresser, opening his own salon, Tiffany's, with his success leading to an offer to display his skills aboard a cruise ship. He later worked for many years in the family's business, Allstate Auto & Tractor Trailer Driving School in Bridgeport until it's eventual sale in 1995 when he moved to Florida joining his second family at Armando's Hair Salon.
George was an avid ice skater and declined an opportunity to join the Ice Capades to remain close to his family and friends. He loved spending time at the beach and collecting sea glass. He took great pleasure during his favorite holiday, Halloween, to scare the daylights out of everyone he knew.
George leaves behind his sister, Janet DeLibro, nephews Richard and Robert Faroni, niece, Dina Smith, great nephew, Ryan Faroni, great nieces, Amanda and Sarah Smith, his aunt Grace Mobilio and many wonderful cousins. All who had the good fortune of being a part of his life will dearly miss him. We will all remember his compassion, support, outrageous sense of humor and his love for everyone. His concern for his loved ones is evident in his plans to have his funeral service the first weekend in June, instead of in the Fall so close to the holidays. He made it clear that he did not want his loved ones out in the cold for his service. Right up until the end he was thinking of us.
Rest in Peace, George, and know that you will always have a special place in all our hearts. May your light and joy always shine down upon us.
