George Noble Beardsley Jr. "Duke" age 94, husband of the late Lois Elsie Quigley Beardsley

passed  away on November 14, 2021 at Lord Chamberlain Health Care. George was born in

Bridgeport on September 9, 1927 to the late George Noble Beardsley Sr. and Marie Runyan

Beardsley. He was a US Naval Veteran and past  President of the U.S.S. Brownson Naval

Association and took part  in the Antarctic Expedition 1946-47 Operation High Jump. George

was  a retired real estate appraiser and Chairperson of the Diaconate and Trustee chairman at

Olivet Church as well as moderator. He was a member of the Bridgeport Old Timers, the

American Legion and the VFW and the last living member of the  "Bronx AA"

Survivors include his beloved children, daughter, Kathy Lynn (Mark) Cichocki of Hedgesville, WV,

sons, Dale (Bonnie) Runyan Beardsley of Yorktown, VA, Scott Hunt Beardsley of Westerly, RI

and Glenn (Ann) Noble Beardsley of Milford. 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandson and several

beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond Beardsley.

The family would like to thank Visiting Angels and Lord Chamberlain for their compassionate care.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday Nov. 21, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Dennis &

D'Arcy—Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford. Funeral Services will be held

on Monday Nov. 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Olivet Congregational Church, 2102 Main St.

Bridgeport. Burial will follow with full Military Honors in MT. Grove Cemetery.
