Obituary

Genevieve Doreen Domizio, age 83, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 27, 2026.  She was the beloved wife of the late Albert C. Domizio Jr.

Born in Bridgeport on January 16, 1943, Genevieve was the daughter of the late Rosario R. Loschiavo and Lillian K. (Angeski) Loschiavo.  Genevieve's diversity provided that she worked as a manager in the supermarket industry, was a program director with the City of Bridgeport and retired after many years with the Norwalk Housing Authority.  Genevieve enjoyed decorating her own house and striving to have a well-kept, yet warm and welcoming home. She was extremely proud of her family and friends.  Often, they could be considered one and the same.  Then came the grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Now the focus became building the foundation for them to experience the same fondness for family and friends she experienced. Eventually, with her inseparable companion Donny, she took pleasure in routine trips around town, for coffee or lunch, where they became welcome familiar friends.

In addition to her loving companion Donald, she is survived by her children, DiAne (Bill), Albert (Marylou);  grandchildren, Samantha (Andy), Jennie (Dillon), Linda, Taylor (Andrew); great grandchildren, Aubrey, Adriana, Mason, Peyton, Lucas, Carter, Logahn, Remi, Charlotte; sister in law, Linda (Richard),  along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will cherish her memory. She was predeceased by her husband, her parents and her brother Anthony "Butchie" Loschiavo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew's Church, Bridgeport. Interment will immediately follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
