Evelyn A. Smith, age 89 of Stratford (Milford) passed away peacefully on Friday, August 3, 2018 at her Milford home. She was the widow of James E. Smith. Born in Bridgeport on July 25, 1929. Daughter of the late Edmund W. Repke and Therese Karcsmaros Repke. Evelyn graduated from Stratford High School and the Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. Loving the arts and theater she performed in Broadway Productions, modeling, and later enjoyed composing professional songs on her Piano with her daughter. Evelyn was also a well-known and successful Stratford Real Estate Agent during the 80's. In addition to her beloved husband Jim she was predeceased by her brother Edmund Repke and sister, Therese Amato. Eve is survived by her sister Gloria E. Andresakis (Tony) and her niece Andrea Andresakis. She was the beloved mother of Valerie Smith Annicelli (Andy) and Jay Smith (Sharon). Eve was loved and cherished by her grandchildren Gina (John), Josh (Ann Marie), Jordan (Kristina), Holly (Dave) and Chris (Alison), as well as by her great-grandchildren Marianna, Michael, Parker, Connor, Kate, Dylan, Samantha, and John Jr. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
