Evelyn Jean Northey of Trumbull, the daughter of the late John P. Northey and Florence Lewis Northey died in her sleep on June 13, 2017.
Evelyn was born in Bridgeport CT on September 18, 1920. She later lived in Stratford and attended local schools graduating from Stratford High School in 1937 at the age of 16. She moved to Trumbull as a young adult and lived there until her passing.
Evie worked at Remington Arms, and then for more than 35 years at American Chain and Cable in the accounts receivable department.
Evie possessed a keen wit, sharp mind, had a wonderful sense of humor, and could perform magic in her tiny kitchen.
Among those left to remember her are her cousins and their families, Susan and Donald Hutchinson, Carol and Michael Hartman, Nancy and Jeffrey Busch and Priscilla and Carl Bard.
A Celebration of Life by family and friends will be held for Evie on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home 2611 Main St. Stratford Friends may greet the family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Long Hill Cemetery in Trumbull.
