Emily F. Zeller, age 97 of Stratford, left this earth on Thursday November 14, 2013 at Cambridge Manor Health Care. Born in Bridgeport on June 10, 1916, Emily was the daughter of the late William and Mary Pudja Zeller. Emily was proud of her Czechoslovakian heritage and loved to reminisce about her many travel adventures and life experiences. Miss Zeller was a beloved kindergarten teacher for many years at Thomas Hooker Elementary School in Bridgeport were she retired from. Former students and their parents often kept in touch with her through the years and she was so grateful to be remembered for her memorable years of teaching. Emily was a member of the Greater Bridgeport Retired teachers Association and the Delta Cappa Gama Beta Chapter Teaching Association. Emily leaves to rejoice in her well lived life, her relatives, Todd and Michelle Fitz and their children, Jeffrey (Lisa) Fitz, Thomas (Amber) Fitz, and Lauren (Scott) LaBelle. She especially enjoyed family gatherings with all the Fitz grandchildren. Emily also leaves a dear friend and travel buddy Ann Kulishek. The family thanks her special home aide of two years, Eva and also wishes to thank the staff of Kent I Cambridge Manor for their wonderful care these past few months. Friends and relatives are invited to attend graveside services on Saturday Nov 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Ave, Bridgeport, with Deacon Raymond Chervenak officiating ( please follow funeral signs from the Main entrance to direct you to the gravesite. ) In lieu of flowers donations in her honor can be made to Make a Wish , Hudson Valley Chapter c/o Team Marcus Fitz, 832 South Broadway, Tarrytown, NY 10591
