Elsie G. Rahrig (age 103) died peacefully on Sunday, April 28th at Bishop Wicke Health Care in Shelton. She was the daughter of the late Stephen Gross and Theresa (Kosturko) Gross of Trumbull. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Albert G. Rahrig and siblings Henry Gross and wife Josephine, Dorothy Lucas and husband Robert and John Gross. She is survived by her daughter Carol Ann Carroll and husband Lawrence and several nieces and nephews.

Elsie loved being out in nature, whether it was mowing the lawn, planting a garden or going on long walks always coming home with some "treasure" she found along the way. She enjoyed summer vacations in New Hampshire and her annual fall foliage trips to Maine and Vermont where she would anxiously await stopping at every antique shop along the way, often making a four-hour trip turn into eight.

Most of all, Elsie cherished spending time with her family and friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Bishop Wicke for their friendship and loving care of Elsie.
