Elizabeth Wellington, 98. Gained her wings on Saturday June 22, 2024, at Dixie Oaks in Vero Beach, Florida.

Born Elizabeth Nielsen on July 24, 1926, in Fairfield, Connecticut to Regina Pitch Nielsen and Ingeman Nielsen, eldest of three daughters, Charlotte and Dena.

Elizabeth married John in 1946 and had a daughter named Elizabeth Ann in 1948 and a son named John Milton in 1951.

Elizabeth was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #140 in Trumbull, CT, Order of Eastern Star #105 in Bridgeport, CT, President in the Third District of the American Legion CT, and PTA president at her children's school.

Elizabeth worked as a Secretary for the Bridgeport, CT Board of Education Superintendent, Secretary at Norwalk Insurance office, Secretary at her Church, and AARP instructor for safe driving courses.

Elizabeth's hobbies were quilting, solitaire, cooking, baking, gardening, and sewing.

Survived by her sister Charlotte, sister-in-law Joan Scott, daughter Elizabeth, daughter-in-law Celerina, her 5 grand kids, Sean, Patrick, Erin, Sherrylyn and Vanessa, 2 great grandsons Liam and Finn, one great-granddaughter on the way and her cat Patches.

Elizabeth is predeceased by; her first husband John Milton Dreher, her second husband Harry Wellington, her sister Dena, nephews Tom and Niel Emanuel and son John Dreher.
