Elizabeth (Beth) Jane Chervenak, aged 76 years, loving wife of Deacon Raymond John Chervenak and mother of Christopher Michael Chervenak of Bethel and Lisa Marie Chervenak of Fairfield peacefully went home to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

Beth was born in Bridgeport on March 4, 1946 to John C. Lynch Jr. and Edith Marie Smith and resided in Fairfield for the past 48 years. She is survived by her sister Suzanne and her husband Salah Fattah of Minnesota and Kathleen Witkewics also of Minnesota and their children and grandchildren, and sister-in-law Patricia Chervenak of Fairfield.

She graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School in Fairfield CT and the Banking Institute of CT. Prior to her retirement she was a Bookkeeper at the Westport Bank and Trust in Westport, Norwalk, and Shelton. Upon her retirement she volunteered most of her time reaching out to adults and children through local Day Care Centers and Food Banks. Beth was instrumental in various church ministries at Our Lady of Assumption Parish in Fairfield where she and her husband Ray were married in 1967 and was active in the Deacon Wives' Ministry of the Diocese of Bridgeport.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Deacon Ray Chervenak for distribution to local Food Banks.

Friends may greet the family Monday, January 30, 2023 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St., Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd., Fairfield.
