Edward Paul
Fedor Sr.
Nov 26, 1930 — Mar 25, 2024
With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Edward Paul Fedor Sr., a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and the Patriarch of the family who died peacefully at home surrounded by family. Edward was born on November 26, 1930, in Norwalk, CT, to Paul and Mary (Donch) Fedor. He departed from this world on March 25, 2024, in New Preston, CT.
A strong man of determination, Edward pursued his education and achieved a High School Diploma. Thereafter Ed achieved his license and a trade as a Skilled Master Electrician. He then embarked on a successful career with the State of Connecticut as a Plant Manager in the Mental Health Center of the City of Bridgeport. After retiring from the state, Ed drove a school bus where the school children affectionately called him, "Mr. Ed". Prior to his career in Bridgeport, Ed served in the U.S. Air Force where he was stationed on the West Coast shoring up border defenses during the Korean War.
With integrity and dedication he devoted his life to raising his family and to life on his farm. Ed had a love and an understanding of animals like no other. His compassion and respect for all God's creatures was representative in his life and the way he taught and raised his family. Ed was a man of God who enjoyed studying the Bible and works of biblical scholars. He is leaving a positive impact on all those he encountered.
Edward is survived by his loving spouse, Carol Ann Fedor, as well as five sons, Edward Jr. (Joyce), William (Sharon), Thomas (Teresa), John Fedor and Kevin Fedak and three daughters, Lisa Condon (Douglas), Kimberly Fedak-Held (Edward) and, Carrie DeBellis (Dennis); his pride and joy were his 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Ed is also survived by his sister Patricia Denny and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ed was predeceased by his first wife, Joan Rissolo Fedor, his son, Michael A. Fedor and his brother, Richard T. Fedor. Together, Ed and Carol along with their family shared a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever be held close to the hearts of those who knew him best.
His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love will forever be cherished, and his presence will be deeply missed. May the legacy of Edward Paul Fedor Sr. continue to inspire us all to live with compassion, dedication, and honor. Rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the charity of one's choice.
