> Dorothy Ann DeLorenzo, age 81 of Stratford passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at her home. She was the devoted wife to Thomas Angelo DeLorenzo for 52 years. Born in Bridgeport on August 1, 1934 she was a daughter of the late Leo and Cecelia McArvel Grindrod. Dorothy was a devoted wife and a loving mother, she will be missed by all that had the pleasure to know her. In addition to her beloved husband Thomas, she is survived by her children; Rocco DeLorenzo of Stratford, Hope Turgeon and her husband Paul of Milford, Faith Denny and her husband Robert of West Haven and Angie Tecci and her husband Michael of Stratford. Her brother Kenneth Grindrod and sister Gloria Farrel. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; April, Kris, Krystle, Robert, Eric, Anthony, Michael, Michael, Matthew, Cora & Amanda. , 2 great grandchildren; Ashley and Adriana and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings; Joan Kazmercyk, Wilbert Grindrod and Clayton Grindrod. Funeral services will take place on Thursday evening, June 2, 2016 at 7 pm at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford. Interment will be held privately at a later date. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm prior to services.
