Dorothy Arsenault, age 94 of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Albert J. Arsenault, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13 with her daughters by her side.

Born in Bridgeport, CT she was the daughter of the late Mary and Frank Truhn. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Dorothy is survived by her 3 cherished children, Mary Duford of Oxford, CT, Nancy Addorisio and her husband Leonard of Stratford, CT and her son Douglas Arsenault of Naugatuck, CT. Her 7 cherished grandchildren and her 6 adored great grandchildren. Also, her niece and dear friend Jean Coyle.

Dorothy was a woman of deep faith and a devoted mom, her gentle love and concern was felt by many. From the very young, to the very old. You were blessed if you crossed her path. She loved to cook for everyone, especially at the holidays, making her traditional Slovak and French Canadian dinners. There wasn't a party, event, or milestone in her grandkid's lives that was missed by GG. She loved to dance and was always up on the dance floor at weddings. We will smile when remembering her spunky, energetic style! The family would also like to thank her caregiver, Priscilla DaSilva for the loving care she gave to our mom and also the Stratford Visiting Nurses.

A Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford at 11:00 a.m. Friends may greet the family on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
