Donnamarie Rachel Perez, age 63 of Shelton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side.  She was the loving wife of Sigfredo (Freddie) Perez.  Born in Milford on September 20, 1959, she was a daughter of the late John E. Pieger and Jean Lenzen Rivera.  Donnamarie worked as a dietary aid at Bridgeport Hospital for some time, then became a repair service clerk for SNET and AT&T for many years before her retirement.  After she retired, she worked for Bridgeport Pri-Med in medical records.  She was an avid reader.  In addition to her devoted husband Freddie, she is survived by her brother, Randell Rivera of Pittsburgh and her sister, Deanna Rivera of Stratford.  Friends may greet the family on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford. There will be a short prayer service at 11:00 am, followed by interment in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.  In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org
