Deborah Ann Macdonald Siksay passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

Debbie was one of the strongest people you could ever meet. She faced life's challenges with remarkable resilience, strong convictions, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved. She was never afraid to share her opinion and always stood up for what she believed in, especially when it came to her family. She found joy in reading, watching sports, especially the Olympic Games, and spending time at the beach, where she loved listening to the waves.

In 1972, Debbie married the love of her life, the late Ronald S. Siksay. Together they built a loving family and raised two children, Michael Jon Siksay and Andrea Siksay, who were the center of her world. She also warmly welcomed her daughter-in-law, Erin Amy Siksay, wife of Michael, and Joy Delaney, Andrea's loving partner, into her family.

She was a devoted mother, a loyal and loving sister to Michelle Nagy and Georgette Holmes, and a cherished sister-in-law to Patricia Siksay, Charlotte Siksay, Joan Spear, Arthur Siksay, Andy Siksay, Jay Spear, and Gary Spear. Debbie also held a special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews, always offering love, encouragement, and support.

Nothing brought Debbie greater pride than her grandchildren, Cole, Alexandra, Madison, and Parker Siksay. She treasured every opportunity to watch them grow and enthusiastically supported them in all their athletic, educational, and extracurricular activities.

Debbie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald S. Siksay, and her parents, George T Macdonald and Constance Murolo MacDonald.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Debbie loved playing softball in her younger years and remained an avid supporter of youth athletics throughout her life. If there was a Bunnell High School baseball game or a Stratford High School softball game, chances are Debbie was in the stands, cheering proudly for her children. In later years, she could be found just as enthusiastically supporting her grandchildren at their games, meets, and competitions. Her presence in the stands, her encouraging words, and her unwavering support became a lasting source of strength and inspiration for her family.

Debbie's kindness, strength, and unconditional love touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her, but her legacy of love, loyalty, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Calling hours will be held at Dennis & D’Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home at 2611 Main St Stratford, from 12:00 - 2:00 pm Sunday August 2nd.
