David Joseph DiMenna, age 42 of Seymour formerly of Stratford passed away suddenly in Shelton on November 24, 2021.  He was the beloved son of John and Janet Matarazzo DiMenna of Shelton.  David was born in Bridgeport on April 17, 1979. Dave was a talented electrician and carpenter, he was the owner and operator of Creative Construction Company.  He was a true music lover and enjoyed playing and collecting guitars, he enjoyed shooting pool with the APA and loved all animals, especially his beloved dog, Bree who predeceased him a year ago.  In addition to his devoted parents he is survived by his brother Christian DiMenna and his companion Stacy Valentine of Hamden and his maternal grandmother Emma Matarazzo of Stratford, who he was devoted to.  He is also survived by his aunts and uncles; Toni Bonsanque, Larry (Linda) DiMenna, Danny (Robin) DiMenna, Joseph (Valerie) Matarazzo and Marie (Bruce) Sawyer as well as several cousins, who were very special to him. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Louis and Jennie DiMenna and his maternal grandfather, Joseph Matarazzo, with whom her had a very special bond.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM, meeting directly at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Stratford.  Interment in Union Cemetery will be held privately at a later date.  Friends may greet the family on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford for a walk trough visitation,  please enter the rear entrance to pay your respects and exit without lingering.  In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to an animal rescue group of your choice.  To offer online condolences please visit www.dennisanddarcy.com
