Daphne L. Cullen, age 79 of East Haven formerly of Monroe passed away peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the widow of William Cullen. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on December 18, 1933 she was a daughter of the late Eldorus and Helen Booth Gilbert. Mrs. Cullen will be sadly missed by her devoted children; Patricia Cullen of Wallingford, William J. Cullen Jr. of Bridgeport, Susan Cullen of Meriden Kevin Cullen and his wife Elizabeth of New York and Heather Maida and her husband Clint of East Haven. She is also survived by her brother Leslie Gilbert, sister; Kathy Hawley and her loving grandchildren; Joshua, Chelsea, Vincent, Vanessa, Maddox, Sofia and Lucas. Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 1:00 pm in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull with Deacon Ray Chervenak officiating.
