Constance Jordan Susi, age 87 of Stratford, beloved wife of Enio John Susi for 54 years, peacefully passed away in her sleep on April 10, 2024.
Born May 30, 1936 in Meriden, CT, Connie was the daughter of the late Matthew Karczewski Jordan and Bertha Leniart Jordan.
She graduated from Meriden High School in 1954. Connie enrolled at Danbury State Teachers College, where she met and married her beloved soul mate Enio.
She graduated in 1958 with a B.S. in Music Education. Connie initially taught general music in the Derby Elementary School System. Her first love was teaching piano lessons at her homes in Wallingford, Derby, Naugatuck and Stratford. Connie was a lifelong lover of music. She was passionate about coupons and sales. She collected buttons as a hobby for 20 years. Connie was blessed to have the Sullivan, Mourao, Arnette and Takacs families, Kathy Saja Colon and the late Renee Markitan as neighbors and friends.
Connie was predeceased by her parents Matthew and Bertha, her husband Enio, and her brother Robert Jordan.
Connie leaves behind her brother Matthew J. Jordan (JoAnn) of Webster, MA; her son Rick of Seymour; her son Steven of Plano, TX; her son Anthony (Nancy) of Meriden; her daughter Lin Susi Ferro (Jim) of Shelton; grandsons Nick (Kelsey) and Jeremy (Christie) Susi; granddaughters Allison Karkantis (Niko) and Angela Gonzalez (Hector); step-granddaughters Emily and Megan Leopard; great granddaughters Lidia and Natalia Susi; great grandson Leo Gonzalez and great granddaughter Kaylin Karkantis.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Connie on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Those attending are asked to meet directly at church. Interment will immediately follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the American Heart Association.
