Obituary

Christopher Maslowski, 54, of Seymour, CT passed away peacefully on November 1, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his loving family by his side.

Born on March 30, 1972 in Stamford, CT to Regina Szypulski Maslowski and the late Richard Maslowski. Chris graduated from Bunnell High School in 1990, before attending Central Connecticut State University. He graduated as president of his class in 1995, with a Bachelor’s Degree in IT & Manufacturing.

Chris held many titles throughout his life. He worked as a bouncer; an industrial engineer, planner, and manufacturing supervisor at US Surgical; a product line manager at Marlin Firearms; a general and production manager at Sargent Manufacturing; and an aerostructure supervisor at Sikorsky Aircraft.

Above all else, Chris’s biggest and proudest title was being called Dad by his children, Daniel and Caitlyn. He never missed an opportunity to talk about their achievements-- big or small. From coaching Little League for Dan, or dancing at recitals with Caitie, Chris was always their most loyal fan and biggest supporter. His wisdom, encouragement, and fierce devotion were gifts his children will carry forever.

An avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants, Chris could be found cheering his teams on. When game day was over, you would hear him singing along to a timeless ballad from Elvis or powerful rock from Iron Maiden. Chris lived life at full volume, as well as whimsically magical. Disney was his home away from home. Chris carried a lifelong love for all things Disney and carried that enjoyment down to his kids.

When Chris became ill, he was a fighter from the start and showed everyone what courage looked like. When someone asked how he was doing, his favorite saying was, “Living the Dream.” He never let his battles overtake his spirit, sense of humor, or his zest for life. Even in his hardest moments, he kept his focus on living every day with a purpose.

Besides his children, Chris is survived by his devoted mother, Regina Maslowski, who stood by his side with unconditional love and strength; a cherished brother, Ted Maslowski; beloved sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Jason Lavoie; and adored niece and nephew, Liana (Goldie) and Cory Lavoie. In addition, he held a special place in his heart for his valued aunt, Irene Anderson. Chris also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members throughout the USA and Poland; as well as an abundance of friends.

Chris is reunited in heaven with his father, Richard Maslowski, and his grandparents, Stefan and Irena Maslowski; Julian and Leokadia Szypulski.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the transplant team at Yale New Haven Hospital for their extraordinary compassion throughout the years.

Friends may greet the family on Sunday, November 8, 2026 from 3-7pm at the Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St., Stratford, CT 06615. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford, CT 06614 at 9:00am on Monday, November 9, 2026, followed by interment at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, 219 New Haven Ave., Derby, CT 06418.
