Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Christopher John Malaney, 40, of Stratford, Connecticut.

Christopher will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Nikole, his mother, Tara Hylinski-Pickering, sisters, Kimberly Slicklein her husband Brian Slicklein, & Theresa Hylinski, brothers, Joseph & John Hylinski, his nephew, Harrison Slicklein, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Christopher is predeceased by his Grandparents Andrew & Margaret Malaney, Stepfather Joseph Hylinski and Sister Michelle Hylinski.

Chris was a humble, kind person with a huge heart that loved cooking, camping, and fishing with his family. His passion was building and designing custom high-end kitchen cabinets, often for professional athletes such as Derek Jeter for example. He was considered a master craftsman by many and took pride in his work, making sure everything was perfectly finished. Chris also enjoyed playing cards with his brothers and friends from the neighborhood. Win or lose he was there to play and always wanted everyone to enjoy themselves. He believed in loyalty, compassion, and always trying to do the right thing. Chris never asked for anything in return for his kindness and would give you the shirt off his back. He will be deeply missed and remembered by anyone fortunate enough to have met him.
