Charlotte Marie Johnson, age 91, of Stratford passed away peacefully at The Gardens in Bridgeport on March 10, 2018. She was the youngest of ten siblings, born on February 24, 1927 to the late Edward and Bertha Hastings Groschel in Bridgeport, CT.

A retired office manager, she had been a Stratford resident for 63 years. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her. Charlotte loved to spend time with her family, travel, play golf, and garden and was an avid reader. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Walter Johnson, and her eldest son, Alan Johnson. Survivors include her son Don Johnson, eight nieces and one nephew. An eternally bright and loving spirit that fifteen years of Alzheimer's could not diminish. The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and staff at The Gardens, part of The Watermark at 3030 Park, and the VITAS Hospice Group.
