Anthony Cavallaro, age 85 formerly of Shelton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Bridgeport Health Care. He was the widower of Mary Peterson who passed away in 2009, she was one of 13 brothers and sisters. Tony was born in Bridgeport on January 29, 1930 and was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army. For many years before his retirement he was a letter carrier for the US Postal service in Stratford. Tony is survived by many nieces and nephews on the both the Cavallaro and Peterson families. In addition to his beloved wife he was predeceased by his siblings; Frances, Catherine, Theresa, Sam and Frank. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the nurses and staff of Bridgeport Health Care for their dedicated care of Tony. Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. There will be no prior calling hours.
