Catherine Francis 6/22/34-11/1/20

Catherine Francis was born June 22, 1934. She passed away on Sunday November 1, 2020 at the age of 86, peacefully at home with her daughter by her side.

Catherine worked as a caregiver for senior citizens and the intellectual disabled, in 1996 she retired from The State of CT.

Family was a very important part of her life and she cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Catherine was a fantastic cook; everyone loved her food and she made it with love for all to enjoy. She was a giving selfless woman that was always there for support. She enjoyed family gatherings, which was a very precious time for her.

Catherine was widowed at a young age and raised a beautiful family of 6. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include 5 loving daughters:  Zelda Davis and her husband Lamar Davis of South Carolina, Hawora (Mickey) Ball of Stratford, Senora Francis of Arizona, Sondra Lazaro and her husband Allen Lazaro of Arizona, Doreen Trendafili of Arizona, 17 grandchildren and an abundance of great grandchildren.

Catherine predeceased by her husband Allen Francis, beloved son Dirk Francis of South Carolina and her granddaughter LeTisha Geter of Stratford.

Services will take place on Saturday November 14, 2020 at 10:00-11:30 am at Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
