Carolyn Mae Rudolph Evans, age 84, widow of Clinton Holmes Evans Jr. of Fairfield passed away on Tuesday March 22, 2016 at St. Joseph Manor. Born in Bridgeport she was the daughter of the late Carl and Zora Berlin Rudolph. She was a retired sales associate for various area retail stores. Survivors include her beloved children, Clinton H. Evans III and his wife Helen of Ansonia and Colleen Evans Bragdon of Stratford, six grandchildren, Clinton H. (Melissa) Evans IV , Shannon Varney, Christopher ( Sally ) Evans, Stephanie Varney-Liebler, Kelly Evans (Marc) Lundgren and Ashley Varney, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in addition to her husband and parents by a daughter, Cheryl Varney and sister Barbara Faulkner.
