Caroline Ann
Rizzitelli-Brunori
d. Jan 4, 2024
Caroline Ann Rizzitelli-Brunori, age 59, beloved wife of Roger Brunori, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Caroline was born on January 28, 1964 and was the daughter of the late John and Genevieve Rizzitelli. Caroline was a lifelong Bridgeport resident and worked at Women's Healthcare of Trumbull since 2005. Prior to that, she worked at Citytrust and Chase Banks; making many friends along the way. Caroline was a loving wife to Roger for 28 years. They met as teenagers and shared many happy memories, one was their love of Halloween. Every year, they decorated the yard and house for the enjoyment of friends, neighbors and family. Caroline also loved being an aunt to Nikki, Rob and Anthony, and what a fun aunt she was. She made each birthday and holiday magical! Her family will forever feel her special love. Caroline loved her cats over the years and often shared stories of them — spoiling them with treats and affection. Caroline was a friend to all. She got together weekly with close friends at the diner, sharing many laughs and good times. We will remember Caroline for her big heart, compassionate nature and bright smile. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Care felt her kindness and love. She was the first to check in on a friend in need and her daily Facebook good morning posts helped us all to be grateful for each day. She loved to laugh and shared her great sense of humor whenever she had a chance! Survivors, in addition to her husband Roger, include two cherished brothers John (Linda) Rizzitelli of Monroe, Joseph (Robin) of Stratford, niece Nikki Rizzitelli, nephews Anthony Rizzitelli and Rob Rizzitelli, mother-in-law Dolores Rossi and father-in-law Roger Brunori. In addition to her late parents John and Genevieve, she was predeceased by her sister-in-law Dawn Phelps.
